Ireland is a member of the European Union and has the fastest growing economy in Europe. Ireland is particularly strong in modern industries such as computer software and international finance. Ireland has a proud history of welcoming international students wishing to benefit from an educational system that is respected throughout the world.

Many International students come to Ireland to study because it is an English speaking country. Some of the most famous writers and poets in English Literature have come from Ireland, including James Joyce, George Bernard Shaw, Samuel Beckett, Jonathon Swift and William Butler Yeats.
